Oldest video that has been found, and I think oldest video made with the new camera.

     *part of the Christmas footage and following events were recorded in SLP mode and appear to be more degraded than other footage.  This had to be recorded with a different VCR as first VCR had issues playing tape.

1989 - Updated Moon Launch video :)

1989 - Manassas, VA

Used a different VCR and was able to capture all of the 1989 footage of J & K watching the rebroadcast of the 1969 Apollo XI launch. D & L (mom and dad) woke the kids up early to watch this on TV, much as people all across the world did back in 1969. This video is degraded more than others possibly (and I believe primarily) because it was recorded in SLP mode and dubbed onto a tape featuring the actual broadcast VCR recorded from cable then cutting into the home footage of the kids watching it.

Features footage from J&K Karate belt tests, our cat Smokey (RIP), KR 3rd grade program, 96 ATL Olympic torch relay passing along Plank Road in NW Spotsylvania, KR 9 Bday kid party at the LW pavilion.

JR 4th bday in Manassas featuring pony ride.  July 4th party.  Beach with Paul and Debbie and kids in Avon/Outer Banks, NC.  Infamous pee incident near end of tape.  Full uncut copy of VHS tape.

This along with the earlier post completes the known 1990 footage.

Footage from JR 17th Birthday.  Family and friends are present.  End of tape was everyone meeting outside to leave for Junior Prom at Riverside Dinner Theater.
